Table bookings
A booking made on this website is a request. Your table is reserved once our team confirms it. For groups of 10 or more, or for same-day bookings, please call us directly on (03) 6224 4848. If your plans change, please let us know as early as you can on (03) 6224 4848 so the table can be offered to someone else.
Set menus and group bookings
Share-style set menus are available for groups of 8 or more, and the whole table dines on the same menu. Please tell us about dietary requirements when you book so the kitchen can prepare. Functions and larger events are confirmed directly with our team.
Prices
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. A 10% surcharge applies on public holidays. Menu items and prices may change with the seasons, and the menu in the restaurant on the day is the one that applies.
Allergies and dietary needs
We mark gluten-free and vegetarian dishes and offer gluten-free pasta and pizza bases, but our kitchen handles wheat flour, nuts, dairy, shellfish and other allergens, so we cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free of traces. Please speak to our staff about allergies before ordering.
Gift cards
Redeemable in person at La Mensa, 93 Salamanca Place. Not redeemable for cash and not replaceable if lost or stolen. Partial redemptions are allowed and the remaining balance stays on the card until it expires. Gift cards are delivered by email to the address given at purchase; please check it carefully. Payment is processed securely by Stripe.
Online orders
Online ordering is provided through GloriaFood. Orders, payments and any refunds for online orders are handled through that service and confirmed by the restaurant.
Website content
We work to keep this website accurate, including opening hours and menus, but details can change at short notice. Photographs show how dishes are typically served. The text, photographs and design of this website belong to La Mensa and may not be reused without permission.
Liability and governing law
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of this website. These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia.
